About the designer,
Casey Newberg is an undergraduate Jewelry and Metal Design student at Kendall College of Art and Design. Born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Casey looks to logic and mathematical consistencies in her work. Based on a minimalist aesthetic, she believes that jewelry comes to life when it is placed on the body and is able to respond to the everyday behaviors we encounter.
Caseys designs are often a manifestation of her own desire for simple, elegant and practical jewelry. Focusing on simple silhouettes and shapes, she designs for everyday wear and enjoyment. She believes that jewelry is not to be in competition with the body, but instead is meant to live and move in harmony with the human form. She expects to graduate in the spring of 2018 with a minor in Art History.
